Feeding Souls, Ryan Anderson Foundation

Why We Do It

Feeding Souls

We advance effective actions that help resolve dire need, improve lives and edify Christ by advancing the spirit outlined in Matthew 25: 35-36. In pursuit of our mission we will:

  • Sponsor projects and participate in programs that benefit people in significant ways.
  • Assist new and unfunded projects in our areas of focus: faith, sportsmanship and humanity.
  • Partner with others to leverage our resources and capabilities while avoiding the creation of dependency.

We believe that improved lives benefit society and work to generate more of Christ’s commission here on earth.

The primary objectives and purposes of this foundation include without limitation the establishment of programs that promote the well-being of mankind and other charitable and educational activities as the Board of Directors determines to be appropriate. The foundation’s focus shall include but not be limited to the relief of hunger, thirst, illness and systemic problems that result in poverty, homelessness and imprisonment.

The Ryan Anderson Foundation was originally mapped out in May of 2013, with progress made, for example framing out key elements like a mission statement, a short range plan, and establishment of a Donor Advised Fund.

Then in the summer of 2013 Ryan’s girlfriend, Gia Allemand, took her life. Our focus, concentration, energies and funds were diverted to establishing a foundation in Gia’s name for the purpose of suicide prevention, to help overcome the key factors that contributed to her taking her life, including PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder), bullying and self-image problems. Gia Allemand Foundation, Inc. was launched and since has merged with the NAPMDD (National Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder).

In 2018 the Feeding Souls, Ryan Anderson Foundation (FSRAF) was created through a fiscal sponsorship with the Players Philanthropy Fund (PPF).
